Forest Therapy
Guided shinrin-yoku immersions among ancient deodars — slow, deliberate walks that lower heart rate and quiet the mind.

Forest therapy, sunrise yoga and Himalayan quiet — the first therapy at Vedanta is simply being here, with a dedicated spa and treatment programme now in development.
At 8,500 feet, the air itself does some of the work. What we add is a dedicated yoga site, a meditation point, guided forest walks and — coming soon — a full spa and therapy wing.
Most wellness retreats work to create calm. In Kufri, calm is already the default — cold clean air, birdsong instead of traffic, and nothing scheduled unless you want it. Everything we build here is designed to support that, not compete with it.
Cool, pine-scented mountain air at 8,500 feet.
Filled with birdsong and wind, not traffic.
No fixed schedule — sessions fit around you.
Practice alone or with your own group, not strangers.
Some of this is available to every guest today. The rest — marked below — is part of the dedicated spa and wellness wing now being built at Vedanta.

Guided shinrin-yoku immersions among ancient deodars — slow, deliberate walks that lower heart rate and quiet the mind.
A dedicated yoga site facing the valley, best used at first light when the mist is still on the pines.

A quiet meditation point set apart from the residences, for guests who want stillness without a schedule.

Each villa's terrace jacuzzi, best used after dark with the temperature well below freezing outside.

Bonfire hours with no screens by design — firelight, conversation and a sky full of stars instead.
Dedicated therapy rooms drawing on Himalayan and Ayurvedic traditions, currently in development at Vedanta.

Consultation-led treatments using traditional oils and techniques, part of the planned wellness retreat.
A Himalayan salt room and steam facility planned alongside the spa, for guests staying multiple nights.
An open-air platform set up for sunrise and sunset practice.
A quiet clearing away from the residences, built for sitting practice.

Cedar and oak trails through the estate, good for slow walking meditation.

A glass-walled room for quiet reading or unwinding out of the cold.

A private outdoor jacuzzi on every villa's upper terrace.
An open lawn kept clear of light pollution after dark.
Nothing here is compulsory — it's simply how an unhurried day tends to unfold.

“Vedanta doesn't feel like a place you visit. It feels like a life you finally return to — quiet mornings, pine-scented air, and time that finally belongs to you.”
“Two nights here undid months of city noise. The stillness stays with you long after — the mountains, the fireside evenings, and the unhurried pace of every day.”
“The architecture disappears into the mountain. That restraint is the true luxury — stone, timber, and views that feel entirely your own.”
Vedanta's dedicated spa and therapy rooms are currently in development. Until then, forest therapy, the yoga site, the meditation point and each villa's terrace jacuzzi are available to every guest.

Tell us your dates and what you're hoping to unwind from, and we'll arrange the yoga, meditation and forest sessions around your stay.
